چکیده

We present an overview of the ALMA chemical survey disk-outflow sources in Taurus (ALMA-DOT), a campaign devoted to characterization molecular emission from partly embedded, young stars. The project aims at better understanding gaseous products that are delivered planets by means high-resolution maps assorted lines probing disks time planet formation (less than 1 Myr). Nine different molecules surveyed our observations six Class I/flat-spectrum sources. A series accompanying articles analyze specific targets and molecules. Here we describe sample provide general results, focusing on spatial distribution, column densities, abundance ratios H$_2$CO, CS, CN. results this work first step toward disk evolution need be complemented further less exceptional customized thermo-chemical modeling.

ALMA Memo No. 335 Phase Drift Measurements of YIG-Tuned Oscillator Sources for the ALMA LO

In this memo, we present measured phase drift data of a YIG-tuned oscillator (YTO) multiplied to mmwave frequencies, a prototype of the baseline ALMA LO source. The test setup and analysis algorithms are described. We also discuss phase drift added by mmwave multipliers and power amplifiers, with the conclusion that their contribution is insignificant. Various components and system concepts are...

ALMA Memo XXX Bandpass Calibration for ALMA

This memo contains a detailed evaluation of the expected performance of the bandpass calibration for ALMA. We evaluate the limitations on the bandpass accuracy due to the imperfect knowledge of the atmospheric transmission. We show that the best bandpass accuracy is obtained when the amplitude calibration is applied in a single-load scheme. The proposed scheme is a variant of the so-called band...

Alma Observations of the Hh 46/47 Molecular Outflow

The morphology, kinematics and entrainment mechanism of the HH 46/47 molecular outflow were studied using new ALMA Cycle 0 observations. Results show that the blue and red lobes are strikingly different. We argue that these differences are partly due to contrasting ambient densities that result in different wind components having a distinct effect on the entrained gas in each lobe. A 29-point m...

The impact of ALMA on debris disk research

Debris disks are optically thin dust disks around stars produced by ongoing collisions of planetesimals left over from the planet formation process. They help us to improve our understanding of the formation and evolution of planetary systems. Our Herschel open time key program DUNES (DUst around NEarby Stars) aims at detecting debris disks with a fractional luminosity similar to the Edgeworth-...
